Troubleshoot with your model

Model code: Bar 300. Source market: United States. Match the whole code, including its suffix and generation, with the label or model information on your device.

Your model is preselected when you open the 3D guide. Also select the other device’s model if you use a separate audio system.

Start with these checks

  1. Select the soundbar’s correct input

Play a programme with speech. Cancel mute and raise the volume a little. Select the input assigned to the connected cable; the display name can differ from the socket label.

Does sound work now? Replay the original programme and note the input that worked.

  2. Listen through the TV’s own speakers

When troubleshooting TV sound, temporarily select the TV’s own speakers if available. Play the same scene, then another source such as a built-in TV app.

Is the TV also silent? Start with that source. If the TV works, continue with the audio system’s connection and input.

  3. Follow the cable between the correct sockets

HDMI audio return requires ARC or eARC support on both devices. Use the sockets their manuals identify for TV sound. With optical audio, the cable runs from the TV’s OUT to the audio system’s IN. Check the input assigned to that socket.

Do the labels differ? Open the model’s connection instructions before moving the cable. Switch devices off when changing cables.

  4. Compare the audio format

Note the source or TV’s current audio format. Try Stereo/PCM if offered. Listen to the same scene and compare with the previous format.

Does PCM work? Check both devices’ supported formats before selecting surround again. Restore any settings that did not help.

What is confirmed about this model’s connections?

Exact sockets and audio formats have not yet been confirmed for this model entry. Use the device labels and the manual for the full model code. A similar model may have different connections.

Restart or reset?

A normal restart and a factory reset are different actions. Follow the model’s restart instructions and replay the same source. Wait for any software update to finish before disconnecting power.

The guide’s separate reset procedure may erase personal settings. Check the exact model and source market, record your settings and read what will be erased before confirming. A sound test or normal restart does not require a factory reset.

If the problem remains

Note the full model code, purchase country, selected source and input, cable type and which checks produced sound. Include any error message or indicator pattern. Manufacturer support can then continue from your results.

Sources for the general checks

The checks above draw on manufacturer troubleshooting guidance. Use only connections and features present on your model; exact menus and reset sequences require that model’s own instructions.

Check the model code and note your settings before clearing them.

  1. Turn on the soundbar. Find Source and both volume buttons on the unit.
  2. Hold all three buttons together for over 5 seconds. The soundbar switches off.
  3. Finish setup, select your usual audio source and test the same programme again.
